On May 3, 2017, the board received a letter from Oceanic Time Warner Cable (now known as Spectrum) announcing they would not be renewing our bulk cable contract due to a transition island-wide from Analog to Digital cable services.

The new package offers High Definition Entertainment, Music Choices, and 200+ Channels. A list of extended channels will be posted online when installations have begun.

Installation of digital services will begin toward the end of 2017. A schedule will be announced once available. Once the installation schedule is out, the dates are set. If your unit is not available or can’t be accessed, owners can contact Spectrum and schedule installation later. Requested installations will cost you $75. Technicians will need 45-60 minutes in each unit to inspect current cable outlets and install the new converter box and a remote.

Cable upgrades, or providing another converter box for extra outlets in your unit will be the owner’s responsibility.

A follow up email will be sent to all owners once the installation dates have been confirmed.

GUEST ARRIVALS:

The Maui Vista AOAO (Association Of Apartment Owners) office is happy to assist guests to register if the guest has the reservation paperwork. If they don’t, the office refers to the reservation system for that information.

Some owners and managers still don’t use the AOAO’s reservation system. This leaves your guests stranded, perplexed and angry. Signs with property manager’s phone numbers are posted, but guests most often don’t know who to call.

  • Guests of owners using online websites believe Maui Vista is a hotel with a 24/7 desk; they bring a reservation number with them and think we can access it. Unless you or your agent use the reservation system, the office and security are unable to direct guests.
  • To avoid guests ending up in a hotel, owners and agents need to coordinate efforts to ensure arrivals are either in the system or confirm guests have received unit information prior to arrival and remind them to bring this information with them.
  • Renting units has become a complicated business since the implementation of online Hotel booking websites. It takes extra effort to successfully arrange a smooth arrival for each guest who wants to enjoy their tropical vacation.

POOL TILE REINFORCING SCHEDULED

Our pool deck tiles are becoming loose and have lost their adherence over the years.

We will be repairing loose tiles, cleaning, applying sand, sweeping over the deck, watering, and applying sealant after it dries.

Pools will be closed 5 days as noted below:
